Google Business Profile management for roofers

By Aaryan Gupta, founder Updated October 19, 2026

Zentora Digital Marketing, a roofing marketing agency in Dallas, manages Google Business Profiles for roofing companies for $500 a month on its Starter plan, month to month. We optimize the profile once, then keep it active every month with weekly photo and profile posts, automatic review replies, consistent citations, a press release every other month, and a monthly check of where you rank on Google Maps and what AI tools say about you. You stay the owner of the profile.

Your profile is what shows on Google Maps, which is where most local roofing calls start. Every other plan is built on top of it.

What runs every month

$500 a month

Profile work only. Website work, lead tracking and speed to lead start with Growth.

  • Profile optimization, done once Primary category set to Roofing contractor, extra categories only for work you do, and your services, descriptions, hours and attributes filled in. Google says categories affect local ranking, so the category comes first.
  • Weekly photo and profile posts Posts with your own job photos, never stock. Google lists photos among its local ranking tips, and owner photos set a real roofer apart from listings that only exist to collect calls.
  • Review auto-replies Replies to your reviews go out automatically, so none sit unanswered. Google says helpful replies can help a business stand out.
  • Citations and Bing Places Your name, address and phone built out and kept the same across directories, and your Bing Places listing claimed and kept in step with Google.
  • A press release every other month A news release about your company through a press wire, which gives directories and AI tools another page that describes you the same way.
  • Google and AI visibility, monthly We run your main searches from a grid of points around your office, ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI about your company, and send a one-page report with the grid next to the call-button taps, direction requests and searches your profile reports.
Pricing

Profile management is $500 a month on Starter

Every plan includes the profile work, and every plan is month to month.

Plan Price What it does for your profile
Starter $500 a month Everything above. No website work, call tracking or speed to lead, so the report shows profile activity without tying calls to jobs.
Growth $1,500 a month Everything in Starter, plus Local Services Ads, basic SEO, website upkeep, lead tracking on every call and form, and speed to lead.
Scale $4,000 a month Everything in Growth, plus full SEO and AEO, backlinking, a press release every month, and the 20-inspection guarantee.
Website build $1,000 one time A site for your profile to link to, with a page for each service and tracking built in. Waived if your site has already been rebuilt.

Your Google Business Profile stays in your name, with us added as a manager, and stays yours if you leave. Google says there is no way to pay for a better local ranking, so the fee pays for the work on the profile itself.

Timeline

The first map comes before any change, so you can see what moved

  1. Week 1

We run the rank grid on your main searches as a baseline, then set the category, services, hours and attributes.

  2. If Google asks to verify

Google picks the method, from a phone call or postcard to a video of your truck and shop, and says reviews take up to 5 business days. The name, address and category stay untouched while a code is pending, because Google says the code won't work after an edit.

  3. From week 1

Weekly posts with your job photos begin, and review replies switch on.

  4. First month

Citations go out across the directories, and Bing Places is claimed and matched to your Google profile.

  5. Every other month

A press release goes out, or every month on Scale.

  6. Every month

The grid runs again on the same searches, the AI check repeats, and the report sets both next to the month before.

The rules

Google bans the shortcuts some agencies sell for Maps

Google's help page says, "There's no way to request or pay for a better local ranking on Google." These fixes still get pitched to roofers, and each one breaks a Google rule.

  • A mailbox or virtual office in the target town. Google says a rented mailing address you don't operate from isn't eligible for a Business Profile, and neither is a P.O. box.
  • A profile for each nearby city. A service-area business can have only one profile for the whole area it serves.
  • A town added to your business name. Google's name rules bar location words, and say extra information could get the profile suspended.
  • A wider radius for a fee. Google's line about paying for rank covers this too. Ask exactly what would change on your profile and website.
What Starter can't show

Starter shows profile activity, and tracking starts on Growth

Google stopped keeping call history in Business Profiles on July 31, 2024, and the profile's Calls figure counts taps on the call button. So the Starter report shows how many people tapped to call or asked for directions, and it can't tell you which of those became a roof.

Growth adds call tracking with recordings on your profile and website, which ties each call to where it came from. If you need to know which jobs the profile brings in, start with Growth.

What we measure

Most roofers we measure rank well near the shop and fade with distance

We measure a profile by running the same search from a grid of points around the office. A Fort Worth roofer we measured made the top three at 143 of 169 points for "roofing contractor fort worth". A Dallas roofer with a yard in Oak Cliff held Oak Cliff and the southwest side, then fell away north and east of I-30, making the top three at only 34 points for "roof repair dallas".

In another Dallas grid, 405 roofing contractors ranked somewhere, and the leader made the top three at fewer than one point in twelve. So nobody, us included, can honestly promise you the top three across a whole metro. We work on the profile, reviews and listings so the area where you rank grows, and we show you the map before and after.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How much does Google Business Profile management cost?

With Zentora it is $500 a month on the Starter plan, month to month. It covers optimization, weekly posts, review replies, citations and Bing Places, a press release every other month, and a monthly rank grid and AI check.

Can you get my roofing company to the top of Google Maps everywhere?

No one can promise that. Google weighs how far a business is from the person searching, so every roofer ranks better near the shop. We work on the profile, reviews and listings so the area where you rank grows, and we show you the map before and after.

Do I keep ownership of my profile?

Yes. You stay the owner and we work as a manager, which Google's rules for agencies require too. The profile stays yours if you leave.

Should my profile show my address?

Only if your company name is on a permanent sign there. Google says a business without signage at its location should be a service-area business with the address hidden, and a P.O. box or a rented mailing address you don't work from isn't eligible.

Does adding towns to my service area help me rank there?

Google lets a service-area profile list up to 20 cities or ZIP codes and says the list shows customers where you work. It never says a listed town lifts your rank, so we fill it in for homeowners and work on rank through the category, reviews and your website.

Do reviews help my Maps ranking?

Google says more reviews and positive ratings can help, and it bans any reward for a review, discounts included. In grids we ran, two roofers with more than 80 five-star reviews each still faded within a couple of miles of their office, so we work on the category and the website too.

Does Starter include my website?

No. Starter is profile work only. Website upkeep, basic SEO, lead tracking and speed to lead start with the Growth plan at $1,500 a month.

Is there a contract?

No. Starter is month to month like every plan.
